I specialize in supporting children, teens, and their families through life’s challenges. Many young people struggle to express their feelings, which can lead to intense emotions, outbursts, and challenges with emotional regulation. If you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, remember you’re not alone, and sometimes it truly does take a village!
My role is to support your child and family in whatever way I can. I take a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate approach, tailoring sessions to meet each child’s unique needs. I incorporate play and art-based therapy to help children express themselves, process emotions, and build new skills. Play is your child’s natural language and I’m here to help you understand what they’re communicating through it. Through play, I help children explore their feelings, grow their strengths, and create lasting change.
Helping children, adolescents, and their families has always been my passion and the focus of my work. I began my education as a Spartan at Michigan State University, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology (MSP). During my graduate internship, I worked in a private practice setting with children and adolescents navigating a wide range of challenges.
When working with teens, I recognize how important and sometimes overwhelming it is for them to figure out who they are and where they fit in the world. Therapy provides a space where they can explore their identity, process emotions, and feel seen and supported as they grow into their most authentic selves. Over time, they begin to feel braver, more capable, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges.
When beginning therapy with a young child, I always start by meeting with parents or caregivers first. This gives us a chance to talk through your child’s history, current concerns, and therapy goals. In the second session, I get to meet your child individually and begin getting to know their world, through their eyes, at their pace!
Beginning therapy with a teen can vary depending on what feels right. We might start with a session for parents or caregivers alone, or, when it’s appropriate, I can meet with both you and your teen together before moving into individual sessions to foster trust and encourage personal growth.
If you’re ready to get started, I offer a free 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit, or we can jump right in with a parent intake session, whichever feels best for you and your family.

I am a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with teenagers and families. I specialize in treating generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
As a parent, you may be concerned about your teen’s well-being and seeking guidance. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where your teen can develop practical strategies for managing emotions, building self-esteem, and establishing healthy coping skills. Every teen is unique, and I tailor treatment goals to meet those individual needs.
Building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the process, particularly for teenagers who are navigating complex emotions. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where your teen feels heard, understood, and empowered to work through their challenges.
I understand that finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming process. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your teen’s specific needs and determine if we are a good fit. Please feel free to contact me with any questions – I’m happy to help.

I specialize in supporting children, their parents, and their family. Life is not a straight line and often family gets upended without warning and without explanation. Oftentimes in these moments parents find themselves challenged by their role as parent and feel helpless to support their child through a time or experience that they are struggling to understand themselves. You may find your child experiencing loneliness, anger, outbursts, anxiety, sadness, perfectionism, aggression, and dysregulation, and as a parent you are not feeling equipped to support them. This can leave your child feeling alone and confused and you feeling helpless and guilty.
There are two aspects of therapy that need to be taken care of when working with kids. The first is of course the child. I create a safe and trusting relationship and space for your child. A place that they can come every week and unburden themselves, feel understood, and heal their wounds.
The second branch is my partnership with the parents. You are the ultimate landing place for your child and as such you carry the most power to help effect change for them. Together, we will explore how and what might be helpful for your child. In my partnership with you, I also recognize that your plate is already full and so I also create space for you, as a parent, to relieve some of the pressure and guilt that you are experiencing.
